About the Role

Recruitment & Staffing

Coordinate recruitment efforts for Direct Support Professionals and administrative staff

Post job openings, screen applications, and schedule interviews

Conduct reference checks and employment verifications

Support hiring decisions in collaboration with leadership

Onboarding & Compliance

Coordinate new hire onboarding and orientation

Ensure completion of required documentation, including background checks, clearances, and certifications

Maintain compliance with state, county, and program regulations

Track staff credentials, licenses, training requirements, and renewal deadlines

Employee Relations

Serve as a point of contact for employee questions and concerns

Support conflict resolution and promote a respectful work environment

Assist with disciplinary processes and documentation

Support performance evaluations and corrective action plans

Training & Development

Coordinate required staff training and ongoing professional development

Track mandatory training completion (HIPAA, CPR/First Aid, abuse reporting, etc.)

Assist with development of training materials and schedules

HR Administration

Maintain accurate and confidential employee personnel files

Assist with payroll coordination and timekeeping verification

Support HR reporting and audits

Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred

  • Minimum of 1–3 years of HR or administrative experience preferred

  • Experience in healthcare, social services, or IDD services strongly preferred

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism

  • Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR management systems

  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy

Compliance Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain required clearances (criminal background, child abuse, FBI fingerprinting)

  • Knowledge of or ability to learn state HCBS and IDD regulatory requirements

  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

The Human Resources Representative plays a vital role in supporting the mission of Lexi Care Community Connections by managing day-to-day HR operations and ensuring compliance with state regulations related to Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS). This role supports recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, training coordination, and personnel record management while promoting a positive, professional workplace culture.
